Walter B. Miller (b.1920-2004) was an anthropologist who's research focused on youth gangs. He served on the Boston Special Youth Program (1954-1957), focusing on gang youth in Roxbury, Massachusetts, for the United States Department of Health, Education, and Welfare's National Institute of Mental Health which resulted in his unpublished manuscript "City Gangs". The papers consist of reports, statistical data, and maps of Roxbury, Massachusetts documenting Miller's research and scholarship regarding youth crime and gang culture in Roxbury.
