The collection consists of excerpts of Houston's 2005 novel New Boy, as well as a small amount of correspondence and trial documents. The collection is unrestricted. The Honorable Julian T. Houston served as an Associate Justice of the Superior Court of Massachusetts from 1990 until his retirement in 2006. Judge Houston, a graduate of Boston University (1968) and Boston University School of Law (1971), also served as an Associate Justice of the Roxbury District Court from 1979-1990. In 1981, Judge Houston founded Roxbury Youthworks, a community based organization providing social services for young people in the Roxbury area. Accessioned 2007 Nov 02.
