This collection contains the handwritten score of "Alma Mater" with lyrics by Louis Bertolami and arranged by William Brohn, paper copies that were handed out at the first performance of the song in 1960, and an audio recording on CD of the performance. Clippings related to William Brohn are also included. The collection is unprocessed. Louis Bertolami graduated from Northeastern University in 1960 with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and an MBA in 1967. He worked as a gyro-test/electrical engineer at MIT, being active in the Institute of Radio Engineers and the Institute of Electrical Engineers. He served as the district chairman for the Northeastern University Diamond Anniversary Fund Alumni Program. During his senior year, he wrote the lyrics to the Northeastern Song "Alma Mater" with music arranged by WIlliam Brohn, who went on to become a Tony-award winning arranger and orchestrator.
