Content Description
Robert B. Thomson graduated from Northeastern University in 1949 with a degree in industrial engineering. While at Northeastern, Thomson was active in the Hus-Skiers ski club, serving as the organizations president and going on to to coach the team after his graduation. Thomson also remained active in skiing after his time at Northeastern, serving as president of the Eastern United States Skiing Association and later the United States Skiing Association. The collection focuses mainly on Thompson's involvement in Northeastern's Hus-Skiers ski club. Included are photographs, coaches annual reports, early copies of the Hus-skiers' Ski Shots newsletter (1947-1950), newspaper clippings, and material related to the New England Intercollegiate Ski Conference.
