The collection consists of a small amount of correspondence related to James Manning's involvement in student groups while attending Northeastern University, including the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association, the Northeastern Students' Democratic Club, and the National Honorary Society of Pershing Rifles. Also included is a publication entitled "The Pershing Riflemen" (May, 1954). Of special note is a letter from Representative John F. Kennedy dated 28 November 1952, thanking Manning and the Students' Democratic Club for their support in the recent election. The collection is unprocessed. James Manning graduated from Northeastern University in 1957 with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting. While at NU, Manning served as president of the Northeastern University chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA). Accessioned 2007 Nov 02. 46/3
