The collection consists of binders documenting Northeastern University's Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies Program conferences, events, and studies. The conference material consists of newspaper clippings, programs, fliers, press releases, correspondence, memoranda, handouts, notes, and conference papers. Conferences included "Race Relations on New England Campuses: New Dimensions of Inclusion," "Women, War & Violence," and "Conference on Therapeutic Implications of Gender, Race/Ethnicity, and Class." Also included in the collection are press releases for other Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies Program events in the "Conference on Therapeutic Implications of Gender, Race/Ethnicity, and Class" binder. The collection contains completed surveys and background information on the program's "Women's Studies Group Project Daycare Option's and Availability" study, as well as two binders documenting Northeastern's Program for Adult Women, including course listings, correspondence, memoranda, and Special Programs for Women newsletters. The collection is unprocessed. The Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Program at Northeastern University draws on the humanities, arts, and social and physical sciences to explore the broad range of intellectual questions concerning the social location of women and men and the ways in which gender and sexuality are embedded in and structure every day lives.
