Content Description

The Henderson House, located in Weston, MA, was constructed in 1925-1927 by Edward Russell Peirce after a previous house on the location was destroyed by fire in 1925. The Tudor revival manor was purchased by Ernest Henderson in 1961. Henderson, President of the Sheraton Corporation and a member of the Northeastern University Board of Trustees, donated the property to Northeastern, and the house was used for events and educational programs beginning in 1962. The University sold the property in 2014. The records document the administration and historical status of the Henderson House from approximately 1961-2003. Included are documents related to Henderson House's addition to the National Register of Historic Places, as well as photographs, plans, newspaper clippings and correspondence. The collection is unprocessed. 47/2 Accessioned 2015 Jul 02.
