The Northeastern University Student Chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (NU-ASME) is an organization that seeks to promote and explore opportunities in engineering. NU-ASME offers students, faculty, alumni, and community members the ability to interact, network with engineering professionals, and provide civil service to the greater Boston area. NU-ASME combines scholastic principles with fundamental real-world applications to enhance engineering knowledge and awareness. Seven issues of The Idler, a mimeographed student newsletter of the Student Chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), and one issue (12/1/1958) of The M.E. Turbine, also a newsletter of the student chapter of the ASME. The collection is unprocessed. Accessioned 2004 Oct 19. Add both titles to student publications in the NU collection. 46/3
