The collection consists of a map of Boston created in 1814 by John Groves Hale and reissued in 1879 by the A. Williams & Co. for sale in the Boston Map Store. The map is shrink-wrapped to a cardboard backing. This map is a facsimile, reissued at the Boston Map Store in 1879 of an 1814 map by John Groves Hale. The map shows building construction types and uses by shading. It includes an explanatory key, an illustrative cartouche, and a inset map of the Boston Neck. Accessioned 2016 May 26.
