Content Description
Professor George H. Meserve taught at Northeastern University from 1927 until his retirement in 1968. Meserve began his career at Northeastern as an instructor in mathematics and engineering drawing, before founding the Department of Art and Art History in 1946. Meserve would serve as the department's chairman until his retirement. The collection consists of one oil painting by George H. Meserve, Jr. A description on the back of the painting reads: "From Movie of MORSS Cup Regata, MIT, by George H. Meserve, Jr., March 13, 1948." The collection is unprocessed. Accessioned 2015 Mar 27. On shelf to the right of the flat files.
