KGR was also involved with the National Commission on Student Financial Aid, a council created by the federal government in 1981 to recommend policies to the President of the United States and to the U.S. Congress on issues of federal student assistance in post-secondary education. Members of the commission included bipartisan congressmen and leaders of the higher education community.
