Summary:
This series comprises the administrative records of the Office of Community Affairs, which include budgets, program files, correspondence and proposals. The bulk of the records are correspondence related to the Office of Community Affair's interactions with Northeastern University administration, various local and state government offices, and local community organizations. Of note are the materials related to the construction of the Northeastern University parking garage, which had ties to the Southwest Corridor Project (represented in Series 2). Throughout this series are correspondence and other materials related to the activities of Office of Community Affairs director Joseph D. Warren. These document Warren's duties as Office of Community Affairs director, as well as his personal involvement with community development projects in the Boston area. Box 2 contains materials pertaining to Warren's personal political activities, and course materials and student correspondence relating to his teaching career.
