Summary:
This series documents the research activities of the Center and consists of articles, correspondence, data collection reports, project summaries, and survey forms. The projects include: the International Survey of Work Experience Education Programs, a collaboration between CIHED and the University's Cooperative Education Research Center; The Role of the Multi-National Corporation in the Education of Foreign Nationals which studied human resource development on an international level; Status of Academic Women which examined the representation of women as faculty, students, and administrators in international higher education, as well as a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) sponsored survey, World-Wide Inventory of Non-Traditional Post-Secondary Education Institutions, which charted innovation in the field of international higher education.
Also included in the series are the project files of Wanda Mosbacker, an Associate Dean at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio. Mosbacker conducted a survey, completed in 1975, on the status of cooperative education worldwide. Using the survey data she authored an article, Growth and Development of Cooperative Education Outside of the United States, and would later contribute a chapter on the subject to the Encyclopedia of International Higher Education. CIHED used her files to support their own survey on international work experience education programs. The bulk of the material consists of completed survey forms and correspondence, arranged by country. Topics include comparative cooperative education, women in international higher education, international human resource development, and survey data compilation.
