Summary:

This series documents the activities of students on the Northeastern campus and includes classroom and campus scenes, student groups, special campus events, and student activities, including festivals, debates, multi-cultural events, and fraternity events. There are images of student groups such as the band, orchestra, chorus, dramatic groups, and the Student Government Association. Also reflected in this series are photographs of student protests for the Vietnam War, the Persian Gulf War, and proposed cuts to student financial aid. Researchers looking for student photographs from a particular academic program should also consult Series 1: Academic Programs. Photographs of student co-op assignments are found in Series 5: Division of Cooperative Education, and those documenting commencement and homecoming ceremonies are located in Series 7: Events.
