Black People's Topographical Research Center, n.d.

 File — Box: 57

Summary:

From the Series:

Series V. Outside Organizations includes materials created by organizations that did not have a significant working relationship with Freedom House or the Snowdens.  The majority of these organizations are grassroots community organizations in Roxbury and greater Boston, but the files also document some national organizations and the Boston branches of national organizations.  For the most part, the files do not include significant information, but provide a broad picture of the existence of community organizations at the time. Organizations include Black Panther Party, Malcolm X Community Information Center, Blacks Helping Blacks, Boston Black United Front, Coalition of 100 Black Women, Congress of Racial Equality (CORE), N.A.A.C.P., New England Grass Roots Organization (N.E.G.R.O.), Operation B.L.A.C.K., Wednesdays in Mississippi, Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), and Urban League.  The files include correspondence, statements, brochures, public relations materials, and notices of events.  Files are arranged alphabetically by organization and may provide the only existing documentation of these organizations. General correspondence may also include correspondence from these and other community organizations.
