 File — Box: 1

Summary:

From the Series:

The series contains a collection of Israel Katz's curriculum vitae spanning nearly forty years. The correspondence, which comprises the bulk of the series, documents the day to day professional responsibilities of Katz at Cornell University, General Electric, and Northeastern University. The researcher should note that all correspondence pertaining to the Northeastern University Department of Continuing Education is located in that collection (A40). The series also contains correspondence and newsletters providing information on his participation in professional engineering organizations, as an administrator and as a guest speaker at and organizer of conferences. Also included here are a number of the papers he presented at and programs from these conferences. In addition to professional papers, the series contains a correction copy of his book "Aircraft Propulsion Machinery" and correspondence to and from his editor discussing textual changes to both his books. There are gaps in the professional correspondence for the years 1953 and 1954. In addition, the series documents his work as a consulting engineer through reports detailing insurance claims investigations and his work in the invention and distribution of a dental instrument.
