Summary:
This series contains correspondence and reports concerning Metz's surveys on engineering manpower surveys and studies. Also included are working papers and speeches on engineering technology education and the role of the engineering technician; and Metz's correspondence, notes and reports while a member of the Engineers Joint Council's Engineering Manpower Committee. There are also many newspaper clippings that document the necessity for more engineering and technical education programs in the United States during the 1950's and 1960's.
