This series includes subject files on topics of interest to TAFS, including homeless services, affordable housing, immigration, teenage runaways, social security and welfare, welfare reform, and newspaper clippings about TAFS. Also included are subject files related to groups and organizations with which TAFS interacted, including the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the National Travelers Aid Society/Travelers Aid International Social Services of America. Also included is a file of material regarding the Committee for the Youth Residence Facility, which was a joint project between TAFS and Boston Children's Service Association to create housing for homeless youths. Also of interest is the material regarding the MS Batory, a ship that brought Polish immigrants to Boston in the mid-1960s. The Boston University Course Material file includes documentation of a social work course in which TAFS staff spoke on human services topics and from which students visited the TAFS headquarters.
