Development
Summary:
This series consists of subject files documenting all aspects of ACFNE's administration, programming, and relationships with other musical organizations throughout New England. Administrative records include five folders of Beth Denisch's directors files dating from 1995-1997, which provide insight into the formation and early activities of the chapter. This series also includes applications for funding and related correspondence with a number of foundations and public agencies in the Boston area, most notably The Boston Foundation and The Massachusetts Cultural Council. Also included are records documenting ACFNE's residency programs, all of which provided funding for composers to work with local community members on creating and performing original compositions. Project records for these residencies include proposals, publicity materials, final reports, participant feedback forms, and program evaluations. Projects are generally filed by composer name, or by partner organization in the case of multiple composers. This series also includes meeting minutes, strategic planning documents, scrapbooks, correspondence, subject files on ACF National and other chapters, and a full run of the American Composers Forum's Sounding Board newsletter from December 1996-July/August 2008.
