Photographs and Negatives

 File

Summary:

From the Series:

The series contains artwork, audio, photographic material, and video documenting the Boston Living Center's events, commercials, media coverage, parties, programming, public service announcements, and staff. The artwork is a preliminary sketch for a mural painted by BLC member Laura Keane for the Boston Living Center's Respite Daycare Center (later renamed My Friend David's House). The audio material includes audiocassettes and reel-to-reel tapes of unidentified interviews, NPR Morning Edition, and the Center's commercials. The majority of the series is photographic material (electronic, print, and slides) which document subjects such as events, including the Celebration of Life Thanksgiving Dinner, A Day in The Life, and In-Line Against AIDS, and staff and various parties. The Hal Geyer folders include personal pictures from a BLC member who passed away. The video material includes informational clips, public service announcements, Celebration of Life Thanksgiving Dinner coverage, and the Center's commercials and media coverage. The series includes a ¼” reel-to-reel tape, 1” reel-to-reel tape, and a Maxwell Betacam cassette. The Archives does not have the equipment to view these formats. The ¼” and 1” reel-to-reel tape material are available on Video Home Cassettes.
