Scope and Contents
This series documents the Asian American Resource Workshop’s work on Chinatown development and redevelopment. Collaborating organizations represented in this series include the Asian Community Development Corporation, Boston Redevelopment Authority, the Campaign to Protect Chinatown, the Chinatown Coalition, the Chinatown Initiative, the Coalition to Protect Chinatown, the Washington Street Corridor Coalition, and the Chinatown and Chinatown/South Cove Neighborhood Councils. Topics include air rights, gentrification, Parcel C, the Central Artery, housing, pollution, the “Combat Zone” red light district, and the Gaiety Theatre. Records include meeting minutes and notices, reports, development plans, press clippings, and memoranda.
