Overview Beverly C. Dunn, Jr., a mathematician and high-frequency physicist, was born on November 16, 1917. He received a Bachelor's degree magna cum laude, a Master's degree, and a Ph.D. from Harvard University.  After graduating in 1940, he became an instructor there.
