Overview Harold A. Garabedian (HAG) was born in 1898 in Boston, Massachusetts. He graduated from Tufts College in 1919, then took a job with the John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company as an actuary. He was promoted to vice-president and consultant in 1961 and retired from the John Hancock in 1963. During 1963, HAG, along with Byron K.
