Overview A leader in physical education, Marjorie Bouvé was born in 1879 in Hull, Massachusetts. She attended school at the Boston Normal School of Gymnastics, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston University. While attending school, Bouvé operated Ye Squirlijig puzzles, handcrafting hundreds of wooden jigsaw puzzles. In 1913, Bouvé and six other women founded the Boston School of Physical Education.
