Overview Beverly C. Dunn, Jr., a mathematician and high-frequency physicist, was born on November 16, 1917. He received a Bachelor's degree magna cum laude, a Master's degree, and a Ph.D. from Harvard University. After graduating in 1940, he became an instructor there. He was the Assistant Director of the Naval Electronics Research Laboratory and of the Harvard University Applied Science Laboratories.
