Summary:
This series documents the camps associated with the Boston YMCA and includes correspondence, scrapbooks, committee reports, forms, travel logs, brochures and pamphlets, prospectuses, legal documents, registration books, and publications. Of all the camps represented in this series, only Pleasant Valley Camp (Boxes 9, 23, Folders 141, 324) originally admitted girls. Sandy Island Family Camp, the first Boston YMCA camp, was formerly Camp Buena Vista.... Additional information about camping activities can be found in SERIES II. BRANCHES - Huntington Avenue: Boys' Division (Boxes 5-6, 23, Folders 75-80, 321) and SERIES V. SUBJECT FILES - Departments: Youth Division (Box 14, Folder 215).
