This series focuses on the group's activities, formation, and operation as a grassroots organization.  The collection includes correspondence between the organization and its supporters, film and record executives, and anti-violence organizations (Box 1, Folders 15-18); information on publicity efforts (Box 1, Folders 31-36), including press packets (Box 2, Folders 37-38) and posters (Box 5, Folder 161); material documenting the group's organizing principles (Box 1, Folder 29); and fliers and newsletters from the national office and other branches (Box 1, Folders 3-11).

Of special interest are Women Against Violence Against Women's boycotts of film and record companies.  These are extensively documented with articles, correspondence, fliers, and press releases (Box 3, Folders 85-99).  The collection also includes a slide show created by Women Against Violence Against Women on violence against women in the film and recording industries as well as scripts and audience evaluations on the show (Box 2, Folders 39-46).  In addition correspondence and official statements, regarding sado-masochism and Transsexualism in regards to Women Against Violence Against Women and the Women's Center are included (Box 2, Folders 53-54)
