Summary:
This series contains correspondence to and from and publications of professional organizations and letters to and from members of the medical professions accumulated during the tenures of department chairs Constance Green and Katherine Carlisle. The material documents not only the emerging field of physical therapy, but also Boston-Bouvé College's role in positioning physical therapy as an integral part of health care. The records from this department mostly focus on the content of the physical therapy course and reflect its changes over time.
Correspondence and evaluations document students' clinical practice work at Boston-area hospitals. Bibliographies, records of purchased text books, and departmental self-assessment reports also provide information about the content of Boston-Bouvé College's physical therapy course.
Series 5 (Boxes 46-47) contains physical therapy class syllabi, course descriptions, and examinations.
