Alumnae Association

 File

Summary:

From the Series:

This series documents the extracurricular activities of alumnae and students. Boston-Bouvé College's Alumnae Association raised funds for the school, kept track of alumnae, and organized reunions and other events. The Alumnae Association files are mostly comprised of newsletter and newspaper clippings on each graduated class. Also included are account ledgers and notebooks detailing expenses and fund- raising efforts. Minutes and notebooks provide information about the Alumnae Association's plans for reunions.

Notebooks, minutes, and programs created by the Athletic Association document the different sports in which Boston-Bouvé College students participated. Reports document competitions between Boston-Bouvé College's Blue and White teams and matches between other intramural teams. Programs from student events such as demonstrations, school dances, and commencement activities are also in this series. Minutes from student government meetings record officers' planning of social events and representing their school's interests in Tuft's student government body. Notebooks of advice written over many years and passed down to incoming student government officers detail much about student life and long-held traditions. This series also contains records from several smaller organizations such as Student Fellowship which raised funds for projects in other countries.
