Summary:
This series traces the school's philosophy and purpose through the records of Boston-Bouvé College's administrative departments and governing bodies. Of note are founding documents, including the first constitution and legal papers that record many of the school's developments. Annual and other reports provide an overview of the school's administration and teaching. The minutes of the school's corporation, correspondence, and committee records document the Bouvé's resignation from Boston School of Physical Education, the merger of the Bouvé School, Inc. and Boston School of Physical Education, and the decision to disaffiliate from Tufts and merge with Northeastern University.
Much of the series includes financial correspondence about fund-raising efforts and the school's periodic financial struggles. Other financial records are account ledgers and audit reports. This series also includes the correspondence, account statements, and legal documents detail the agreement between Posse and Bouvé-Boston School of Physical Education in 1942.
