Overview
On October 3, 1973, Northeastern officially celebrated the beginning of its 75th anniversary. The convocation and opening ceremonies included an address by Senator Edward W. Brooke, a luncheon, and the presentation of faculty, administration, and alumni awards. Other anniversary events included the "Employer Institute and Manpower Symposium" on November 8, 1973 (sponsored by the University, the US Office of Education, and the National Commission on Cooperative Education) and the conclusion of the Diamond Anniversary Development Program.
