The Roxbury Historical Society was organized as the Roxbury Military Historical Society in 1891, reorganized as the Roxbury Historical Society on April 10, 1901 and incorporated on May 15, 1901. The Society researches and preserves community memory by collecting oral histories and offering opportunities for historical presentations and discussions. The ledgers include the Grand Army of the Republic, Thomas G. Stevenson, Post No. 26; Norfolk Guards; and the Roxbury City Guards. Also included are DVDs documenting Armenian history.
